Smith to run CA Australia

Fran Foo | December 02, 2008

ENTERPRISE software maker CA has appointed Brenton Smith to head its Australia and New Zealand operations.

Prior to his new role Mr Smith ran CA's Southeast Asian and Indian subcontinent business.

He was also the previous sales vice-president at CA Australia and managing director at Business Objects Australia.

Mr Smith, who has 20 years experience in the IT industry, also had stints at Siebel, BrightStar and SAP.

He replaces Tony Armfield who left the company in October.

Mr Armfield has since landed the top job at enterprise software house QAD.

"I am delighted that CA is to be headed up by such a high-calibre IT professional. Brenton has already earned a solid track record at CA, particularly in terms of leadership and driving revenue growth," Gavin Selkirk, CA Asia-Pacific and Japan general manager, said.
